Elizabeth Wilmshurst CMG

Elizabeth Wilmshurst is a Distinguished Fellow, International Law, at Chatham House. Elizabeth was legal adviser in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office for 29 years, including a period in the Attorney General's Office, and a posting as legal adviser to the UK mission to the United Nations. Her work included advisory work in cases before the International Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. In subsequent years, she has been in the team for Cyprus in the International Court of Justice in the Kosovo Advisory Opinion, and for Mauritius in an intergovernmental arbitration before an UNCLOS tribunal.
